How to join ACMPSA.

  • CLASSIFY YOURSELF according to the guidelines shown on the application form.
  • COMPLETE the application form showing the self-classification you have chosen.
  • MAIL the form to the Secretary with your first year's subscription of $10 ($5 for students and seniors)

What happens next?

On receipt of the form by the secretary you will be sent your copy of the current membership list. About two months before each playing day, you will receive an application form inviting you to state your preferences for grouping and music to be played. You may nominate people with whom you wish to play, providing you have secured their agreement. Otherwise, you can leave it to the organisers to put you in groups for each session.

There are 3 sessions on our playing days. Starting from our first playing day in 2010, session 2 at 11:45 will be reserved as the open, or "ad hoc" session. Players can bring their own music, or share that provided by other members, and they will meet each other over coffee at 11:30 to discuss what to play and with whom.

There is no charge for attending the Playing Day. Coffee, tea, orange juice and biscuits are provided at no cost.  Lunch is usually supplied at a modest cost, currently $5.
